Our Approach

We handle home improvement a bit differently.

Not every homeowner walks in with a fully formed plan. Sometimes it starts with a wall you've always wanted gone, a floor plan that doesn't flow, or a list of updates that have been sitting on the back burner for years. That's a completely normal place to start. We come to your home, walk the space with you, and help turn what's in your head into something buildable. Structural or cosmetic, one room or several — we design it, draw the plans, pull the permits, and build it. No handing off to someone else halfway through.

What's Possible
Structural repairs
Load-bearing wall removal
Open floor plans
Floor plan reconfiguration
Cosmetic updates
Kitchen remodels
Bathroom remodels
Home additions

Sometimes a home improvement project turns into something bigger — an addition, a full renovation, or a self-contained living space. If your project is growing, our FlexUnit™ service might be the smarter path.

Reasons to Add on

When is it time to invest in your home?

  • Your floor plan made sense when you moved in but doesn't anymore
  • There's a wall you've wanted gone for years and you're finally ready
  • Cosmetic wear and tear has crossed the line from manageable to embarrassing
  • Structural issues have been on your radar and you don't want them becoming bigger problems
  • You want to invest in the home rather than move out of the neighborhood you love
  • You're preparing to sell and want updates that actually move the needle

Why homeowners choose BSDC

One point of contact, start to finish

No chasing down architects, contractors, or permit offices. You have one team and one person to call, from first sketch to final walkthrough.

We design around your budget

Many firms design the dream, then hand you a bill that doesn't match it. We start with your number and build the plan around it — no sticker shock.

Your vision survives the build

A lot gets lost when the design firm hands off to the contractor. We can draw the plans and build to them. AKA: what you approved is what gets built.

Your timeline is ours to protect

When design and construction live under one roof, no one else's schedule can slow yours down. We control the process so you're not waiting on a separate third party to move forward.

You focus on the fun part

Finishes, fixtures, how it all comes together — that's your job. Permits, inspections, scheduling, and the heavy lift? That's ours.

75% of our work comes from referrals

We don't take that lightly. It means our clients trust us enough to send their family and neighbors our way. And we intend to keep earning that.

Frequently Asked Questions

Home improvement FAQs

With a conversation. Most people come to us with a general idea and a lot of questions — that's exactly what the first visit is for. We walk your home with you, talk through what's realistic, and help you prioritize based on your goals and budget.

It depends on the scope. Cosmetic updates typically don't. Structural work — removing walls, reconfiguring floor plans, electrical or plumbing changes — usually does. We assess what's needed early and handle the permitting process from start to finish.

Yes. Load-bearing wall removal is something we do regularly. It requires structural planning and permits, both of which we handle in-house. We'll assess the wall, design the solution, and build it safely.

Often yes. Depending on your home's structure, opening a floor plan can be a targeted project rather than a full gut. We'll walk the space and tell you honestly what's involved.

That's a fair question and one we take seriously. We'll give you an honest read on what a project is likely to return — whether you're improving for resale or for the long haul. We're not here to sell you a project that doesn't make sense for your situation.

Every project comes with a 1-year workmanship warranty. If something isn't right with our work, we come back and make it right.

Not sure where to start? That's what we're here for.

Whatever's on your list, we can help you work through it. Start with a free consultation.
